The 14th edition of the European ‘Science on Stage’ festival once again demonstrated the power of creativity, collaboration and passion in STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Held in Klaipeda, Lithuania, from 28 to 31 May 2026, the festival brought together hundreds of passionate teachers from across Europe to exchange ideas, showcase innovative teaching practices and celebrate excellence in science education. The official opening was attended by the President of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Minister for Education, highlighting the event’s importance for the future of education.

Teachers from 34 countries were able to present the projects they had developed to make their lessons more engaging and accessible to their pupils. The festival offered a dynamic programme, entirely focused on a single objective: to inspire colleagues and learn from one another.

One of the festival’s highlights was the fair, where participants shared original and creative teaching approaches at their booths, ranging from experimental physics demonstrations to interdisciplinary projects on sustainable development.

The festival also featured interactive workshops and plenary sessions that encouraged teachers to exchange knowledge and develop new skills. These plenary sessions fostered a spirit of collaboration, enabling participants to learn from one another and build lasting international networks.

You can find the posters for all the projects presented in Klaipeda here: https://sons2026.eu/programme/festival-projects.
